DriveWealth Appoints George Themelis Global Head of US Equity Markets and Welcomes Sarah Jung as Head of APAC

Leadership appointments deepen DriveWealth’s regional presence and extend its global equity markets strategy across Korea and the broader Asia-Pacific region

NEW YORK – September 1, 2026 – DriveWealth, a global B2B Brokerage-as-a-Service platform designed to make investing easier for clients and their customers, today announced two executive appointments that advance the company’s global growth strategy: George Themelis has been named Global Head of US Equity Markets, and Sarah Jung has joined DriveWealth as Head of APAC. Both will report to Rohit Mahna, DriveWealth’s Chief Revenue Officer.

The appointments follow two years of rapid growth in DriveWealth’s business supporting Korean broker-dealers in the US market, and reflect continued evolution toward a regional team model that places senior leadership closer to clients in key growth markets.

George Themelis Named Global Head of US Equity Markets

Themelis has been appointed Global Head of US Equity Markets, effective immediately. Since joining DriveWealth, he has overseen the growth of the company’s Korean trading business, building the volume and client relationships that significantly increased the firm’s presence in the region. In his expanded role, Themelis will remain closely involved in the day-to-day of DriveWealth’s Korea business, which continues to be a top priority for the firm, while also working with the sales team to identify and pursue similar opportunities in other regions around the world.

Sarah Jung Joins DriveWealth as Head of APAC

Jung joins DriveWealth as Head of APAC effective September 7, 2026, based in Seoul, South Korea. She brings more than 20 years of experience across global markets, with a career spanning Goldman Sachs Securities, Deutsche Securities, and NH Investment & Securities. She will lead DriveWealth’s regional strategy and commercial growth across Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, with a focus on strategic client relationships, partnerships, and new market opportunities, and will work closely with teams across the company to drive APAC initiatives and growth.

Jung and Themelis will partner closely: while Themelis’s new role carries a global mandate, he will continue supporting DriveWealth’s Korean business as it expands beyond equities into new products.

“These organizational moves reflect a strategic shift in how we’re positioning DriveWealth for growth,” said Mahna. “Having senior leaders based in-region, supported by the teams and technology we’ve built, gives us a clear blueprint to materially grow these markets. George has been instrumental in transforming what our Korean business means for DriveWealth, and Sarah brings deep regional expertise and a client’s perspective that will accelerate our growth across APAC.”
